Beware of market share statistics

Many companies boast of their market share.

Market share is a measure of how many homes were sold by the Company concerned – It is not a measure of how well they sold the individual properties.

The sales industry is focussed on rewarding salespeople for the quantity of sales made and not the quality of the individual sales.

Market share is just another example of this – companies would have you believe that because they sell more properties that they will do a better job for you – this is not necessarily true and can be the complete reverse.

We believe that the Company or Salesperson who consistently gets the best result for their seller deserves the accolades.
